BHBA is a national leader in Continuing Legal Education (CLE). BHBA’s live webinars drew more than 210,000 registrations last year alone, and BHBA OnDemand is an industry-leading, unique platform for participatory credit CLEs. BHBA also provides professional development programming and skills-development trainings for our members, other attorneys, and legal support staff. Our ideal candidate for the Webinar Content Associate position will support this diverse programming portfolio, have excellent organizational and people skills, be a skilled online researcher, and will thrive working remotely. The Webinar Content Associate will be responsible for producing CLEs independently and in cooperation with the Director of Education and Professional Development.
Responsibilities
Identify potential CLE topics by monitoring: legal news, legal social media, BHBA member updates on LinkedIn, and CLE topics nationwide
Create/produce an average of 5-10 CLE programs per month based on online research
Support creation of additional programs with Director of Education and Professional Development
Develop and maintain expertise in California CLE rules and other states’ requirements, including special subjects (in California—ethics, competence, technology, civility, and elimination of bias) and legal specializations
Track and update team on BHBA programming offered in all special subjects
If needed, write/edit program description, create program outline, and gather required supporting materials
E-file documents as created, enter communications in Salesforce, review/proof program flyers, follow brand guidelines, complete other program-related tasks as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
Expertise in Microsoft Office and online legal news research
Working knowledge of Salesforce OR experience with similar apps and aptitude for learning
Ability to be productive remotely and with limited daily supervision
Interest in legal issues and ability to understand basic legal concepts
Experience with CLE or legal industry preferred
At least three years of relevant work experience—more preferred
Position reports to Director of Education and Professional Development and will also work with other staff. Equal opportunity employer. Health insurance provided; premium for employee’s choice of Kaiser HMO or Anthem PPO paid 100% by employer. Dental and vision insurance provided; employee's premium paid 100% by employer. 401(k) with employer match. Forty-hour work week, hourly pay, overtime eligible (but not anticipated or required). Fully remote but must be located in California and able to work Pacific time business hours. Mac and other home office necessities provided, along with stipends for home office and mobile phone. Salary DOE; range starts at $35/hour.
